To make the most of your infrared sauna experience, it's important to come prepared. Be sure to drink plenty of water before any session; you will want to bring a water as well to help stay hydrated. If you forget, we've got you covered with drinks available for purchase in the lobby.

Our friendly Urban Sweat team recommends wearing comfortable, loose-fitting clothing to put on after your sweat and detox your body. Don't worry about bringing a towel - we provide those for you.

We'll start your session at a lower heat setting and gradually increase it as you become more comfortable. You're in control of the heat settings, so feel free to adjust them at any time during your session.

We offer two options, either the cabin or our pod, based on your preference and comfort. Our pod sessions last 30 minutes, while our cabin sessions last 40 minutes. If you prefer, you can sauna in the buff - our private suites ensure complete comfort and privacy.

Select your favorite music or podcast to enjoy during your session; feel free to bring your own earbuds. It's time to relax and feel at ease during your time with us.

Before every visit, our team will review your intake form to ensure you're a good candidate for red light therapy. If you have any specific areas of your body that you'd like to focus on during your session, please let our Urban Sweat team know. For whole-body treatments, you may want to wear minimal or no clothing in your private suite. If you're focusing on specific areas, it's best to have those areas bare. However, you should wear whatever you're comfortable with, as this is a non-invasive treatment.

We recommend consulting with your physician if you're currently under their supervision. We'll check to make sure you're not under a physician's care or that they've approved your visit. Additionally, we'll ask if you're pregnant, have a pacemaker, suffer from severe hyperpigmentation, have epilepsy, or are taking steroid creams, cortisol injections, or tetracycline. Your safety and well-being are our top priority, and we want to ensure that red light therapy is right for you.

PREPARE FOR YOUR RED LIGHT THERAPY SESSION:

First, don't forget to bring your swimsuit - you'll need it for your plunge! If you're new to cold plunging, don't worry - we've got you covered.

Let us know if you'd like a team member to stay with you during your session to help you breathe and acclimate to the cold. And if you're feeling Instagram-worthy, we'd be happy to snap a photo to share with our followers!

We want you to feel comfortable and in control during your session, so we can set a timer or clock to track your progress as your tolerance builds over time. If you've used our sauna prior to your plunge, you're welcome to take a private shower in our studio to freshen up.

Our cold plunge can get as low as 39 degrees, but don't let that scare you. Check out our Cold Plunge Modality page for additional information on the benefits of cold plunging. Your first visit will establish a baseline for your future progress, and we'll guide you every step of the way.

  • • Infrared Sauna - 30 minutes per session for the pod, or 40 minutes for the cabin.
    • Red Light Therapy - 20 minutes per session.
    • Cold Plunge - 15 minutes per session.

  • • You will feel lighter and more relaxed immediately, and benefits will continue as you increase your weekly visits. Studies show that there have been improvements in sleep, skin glow/collagen production, cellulite reduction, wound healing, depression/mood, stress, etc with continued use.
    • Studies show 52 minutes cumulative in the infrared sauna, 11 minutes in the cold plunge, and 30 - 50 minutes in red light therapy per week will maximize the benefits that you're seeking.
    • Red Light Therapy - Depending upon the area of the body you are focusing on will depend on the speed of results. For muscle tightness, skin, wrinkles, scarring, etc., you may see results with 2 treatments per week for one month. For deeper work like low T, hormones, hair growth, and cellular health, results should come with regular practice within 3 months.

  • • Your first visit you will start on a setting that allows the pod to heat up to 130 - 150 degrees. It is common not to sweat as much on your first visit as your body acclimates to the heat.
    • Once you've established a regular practice, it often takes 5-7 minutes for the heat to penetrate deeply for intramuscular work. You'll notice a pool on sweat on your core and upper legs.

Note: It is totally normal to see splotching on your core and legs afterward. That is fresh oxygenated blood opening up your blood vessels. That's a good thing!

  • • The more you sweat, the more benefits your body will see/feel. Once per day is common with many guests, but at least 2-3 x/week will show you results rapidly. Studies show cumulative 52 minutes per week is a good practice.
    • Cold plunge is recommended at least once/week, but you can visit as often as you like. Studies show cumulative 11 minutes per week is a great practice for maximum benefits.
    • Red light therapy is recommended 2 - 5 times per week.

Please see what to expect/how to prepare for your visit for the sauna, cold plunge, and red light therapy.

  • • Most guests wear little/no clothing (ie. swimsuit, sports bra, and/or shorts/trunks) during your private session. We recommend wearing loose clothing to make it easier to put back on post-session.

  • • Please contact our team via email: info@urbansweat.com.

  • • Urban Sweat staff will clean your sauna before and after each guest's use. We use soap, and water to clean the pillow, pad, etc. We often use essential oils, witch hazel, and alcohol. We wash towels before & after every use, the pad you lay on is waterproof + has an anti-microbial memory foam that helps to keep the sauna clean.

  • • The cold plunge tub has 2 filters that constantly run between each cleaning cycle that your Urban Sweat team will conduct before and after each guest use. More in-depth cleaning is done by staff consistently throughout the day. Water is replaced at least every other day, with ongoing maintenance (testing pH) to ensure the highest quality water. No chlorine is used in cleaning.

  • • If you're under 18, pregnant, not feeling well/have a fever, etc. You must consult with your physician if you have had breast augmentation, abdominal surgery (ex. tummy tuck and c-section), are breastfeeding, or are under the current supervision of a physician.

Note: Consult your practitioner, but if getting Botox, please wait 36- 48 hours for the sauna.

  • • If you're under 18, pregnant, have epilepsy, take tetracycline, steroid creams, cortisone injections, or have a pacemaker. Consult your physician if you're currently under their supervision.

  • • For each of our Modalities, we offer an option that allows your head to remain unenclosed.

    • For our Infrared Sauna modality, our cabin is large enough to move about and for our pod, the top portion of the pod is able to be moved up/down based on your comfort.

  • • Please connect first with your doctor. Our Urban Sweat team would be happy to work with you on our available modalities.
